The AP Demarcation™ is a purpose-built outdoor fiber optic enclosure designed to protect network connections from weather, debris, and theft — without sacrificing accessibility for technicians in the field.
Constructed from 14-gauge galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish and 304 stainless steel hardware, this lockable outdoor telecom cabinet is built for long-term performance in demanding outdoor environments.
Why Network Demarcation Matter
A network demarcation point marks the boundary between a service provider’s infrastructure and a customer’s internal network. It’s where the physical connection between the two must be made, managed, and maintained.
For outdoor deployments, that handoff point is exposed. Without a purpose-built enclosure, fiber connections are vulnerable to moisture ingress, temperature fluctuation, physical damage, and theft.
The AP Demarcation™ is designed specifically for this role — rugged enough for permanent outdoor installation, secure enough to protect against vandalism and theft, and organized enough to make every service call faster and simpler.
Built for Fiber Management
Inside, the AP Demarcation™ gives network providers everything they need to manage connections at fiber-dense campuses, customer premises, and FTTH deployments. A dedicated fiber storage area near the bottom keeps dark optics organized and ready to use. Providers can install their own splice tray into the back-mounted holder for fast, convenient hookups. Once fiber is spliced, pigtails connect to the LGX bulkhead patch panel to complete the connection.
A wood back panel offers additional flexibility, letting providers mount their own passive gear directly inside the cabinet.
Weather and Theft Protection
This vandal-resistant fiber optic splice enclosure meets NEMA Type 3R standards, protecting equipment from falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, and external ice formation.
Security is built in: the AP Demarcation™ comes standard with a three-point locking latch and keys. The door handle also accepts padlocks, giving providers an extra layer of protection against theft and vandalism in the field.
